New Sustainability Impact Report now available for VE Geo Loc Made by Rubisco

Vital Chemical is pleased to announce the release of its Sustainability Impact Report for VE Geo Loc Made by Rubisco Wool and Hemp Blend Geotextile, developed by independent environmental and sustainability consultant WolfPeak.

The report provides an independent, in-depth analysis of the product’s environmental performance, confirming its position as a sustainably advanced and long-term economically superior alternative to conventional synthetic geotextiles and other natural-fibre erosion control measures.

Among the most significant findings is the product’s carbon‑negative footprint, with sequestered carbon in the natural fibres exceeding emissions generated during manufacturing.

The review also highlights the product’s 100% compostable capabilities, allowing it to break down naturally in situ at the end of its functional life. This eliminates the need for post-project removal, transport and landfill, while enabling the material to return value to the environment by releasing nutrients and organic matter into the soil.

These characteristics support improved vegetation establishment and align strongly with circular economy principles increasingly prioritised across infrastructure, revegetation and land rehabilitation projects.

The report also recognises VE Geo-Loc Made by Rubisco Wool and Hemp Blend Geotextile as holding an independently verified Environmental Product Declaration, offering transparent lifecycle data to support procurement and sustainability reporting.

Combined with its distribution by an Australian-owned and operated business, the product also contributes to regional supply chain resilience, while demonstrating strong alignment with sustainable infrastructure frameworks and procurement requirements.
