“Our River Journey”

Vital Chemical acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live. We pay our respects to their Elders both past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

To symbolise Vital Chemical’s commitment to developing and providing increased opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we collaborated with a local Indigenous artist, Aaron Broderick of the Bundjalung people.

The meaningful art piece, “Our River Journey” communicates Vital Chemical’s commitment to fostering cultural awareness and respect through Aaron’s artistic expression.

Our River Journey represents Vital Chemical’s story from an Indigenous Australian perspective.  The name, Our River Journey, depicts our 45 year history as a family owned and operated company based.

The artwork thoughtfully illustrates Vital Chemical’s journey as a local family business, manufacturing and providing environmental solutions to major private and public sector projects across Australia, New Zealand and around the world.

Our River Journey incorporates:

  • The Brisbane River: symbolising Our Connection to the lands upon which we work and live.

  • The central formation: representing Our WorkplaceVital Chemical’s Head Office and manufacturing facility.

  • The Pathways: leading to and from the central workplace depicting Where We Are and the future journeys that we will take and those that we have taken in the past.  No two pathways are the same, symbolising the challenges of our journey and the goals we have for the growth of our company.

  • The background dot formations: represent Our People and the significant role each of our employees play in both the history and the future of Vital Chemical.

  • The overall theme: depicts Who We Are and our valued relationships with partners and industry, as together we build a pathway toward a future of sustainable practices incorporating cultural, social, environmental, and economic aspects.
